About CALEF

About CALEF

WHO WE ARE

We are citizens who stand with local law enforcement, fire & EMS personnel by providing them with the safety equipment they need to serve and protect with excellence.

WHAT WE DO

We provide all-day rifle protection and other safety equipment to local law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel.

WHY WE DO IT

We believe that communities are safer and stronger when local law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel are properly equipped to do their job.

HOW DID WE BEGIN?

CALEF began after Officers Gerald, Garafola and Jackson’s lives were tragically taken from them in an attack on July 17, 2016. Officer Tullier was also injured during this heinous act and succumbed to his injuries on May 5, 2022.

This effort is dedicated in remembrance of these courageous officers who paid the ultimate price while serving the community as well as to those officers who continue to lose their lives in the line of duty in the Capital Area.

May their memories and the gravity of their sacrifice remain and be recognized through CALEF’s efforts to prevent the tragic loss of lives of our officers and provide support to law enforcement agencies and the families of the fallen.

Board of Directors

Every member of our board of directors is a thought leader who has made significant contributions to our society.
